For the second year in a row I did not pick the winner of the Kentucky Derby with "Dublin" being my top pick. My second pick, "Super Saver" did win the race and we did hit the $1.00 trifecta, twice ... $2,337.40!!!!

Kentucky Derby winners by Post Position since 1900 (110 Races) ...To date, only two post positions have not had a winner - 17 and 19 !!!
Instead of looking at the actual numbers, I wanted to see the percentage of wins by post position. The lower post positions have a distinct advantage as they were present much more often than the higher post positions. In fact, post position 15 was present only 59 times, pp 16 - 45 times, pp 17 - 37 times, pp 18 - 28 times, pp 19 - 24 times, and pp 20 was present only 16 times in the 135 Kentucky Derby's to date...
The following chart depicts the % wins by post position. For example, post position 20 was present 16 times and produced 2 winners (12.5%)
Kentucky Derby Prep Races - There are four prep races for the Kentucky Derby that have pointed to the eventual winner. The winners of the Florida Derby, Wood Memorial, Blue Grass, and Santa Anita Derby have gone on to win a total of 42 Kentucky Derby's......
So, who are the winners of this years Florida Derby, Wood Memorial, Blue Grass, and Santa Anita Derby..., and, Will one of these three (Eskendereya will not run) win this years Kentucky Derby???
