Historical finish positions and scores for major PGA tournaments...
Any suggestions on how to come up with a final rating for each player is welcome...
Power Rankings
Starting with the Truist ChamUsing genetic algorithms, I've assigned values to each final position, score, made and missed cuts, withdrawals, disqualifications, and made cuts but didn't finish parameters.
The data is from the last 10 years of the Truist Championship (formerly Wells fargo Championship)
Based on this formula, each player is assigned a power rating (which may change from week to week). (rpxl)
